A little ‘bout me
Hi, I'm Beysie Ibabao, also known as Bikang—the artist behind BikangArts.
I’m a self-taught mixed media artist with a deep love for watercolor and the many ways it can be used to express emotion, movement, and story. My creative journey began with a simple curiosity for making art, and over time it grew into a practice that feels both personal and deeply fulfilling. Through experimentation, patience, and a lot of heart, I’ve developed a style that blends watercolor with other media to create pieces that feel layered, expressive, and alive.
My work often centers on colorful female portraits, inspired by the beauty of emotion, individuality, and quiet strength. I’m drawn to capturing subtle details, calming palettes, and the feeling behind a moment rather than just its appearance. Each piece is an exploration of mood and connection, shaped by expressive brushstrokes, fluid washes, and the spontaneity that watercolor naturally brings. I love how this medium allows me to embrace both control and surprise, making every artwork unique in its own way.
Beyond original paintings, I also create thoughtfully designed stationery and art-inspired products that bring a touch of creativity into everyday life. Each item is made with the same care and intention as my original artwork. I believe art should be something you can enjoy not only on a wall, but also in the small, meaningful moments of your daily routine.
At the heart of BikangArts is a love for handmade work, storytelling, and creating pieces that connect with people on an emotional level. Whether you’re here to browse, collect, or simply find a little inspiration, I’m so grateful to share this creative space with you.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my journey.
Keep drawing!
xoxo,
Bikang
